We all know some of the main features of our solar system, but how do they all fit together? How big is the Earth compared to our Moon? What about compared to the Sun? Students will learn how gravity pulls on the objects in our universe to keep solar system together with each body of the system having a distinct size and place. Students will measure the scale sizes of planetary bodies and create a scale model of the distance between the objects in our solar system.
