Mad Scientist Weekend Workshop Series
October 8 @ 11:30 am - October 22 @ 3:30 pm
OH NO! A mad scientist has just arrived at the Museum!
It’s up to YOU to figure out the secret project or you might just become a part of it!
Join us for a new series of Weekend Workshops throughout the month of October, incorporating electricity, spooky slime, and a Mad Scientist Laboratory Escape! This series will culminate during our annual Spooktacular Event on Saturday, October 28.
Sessions are as follows:
- Sunday, October 8: Mad Scientist’s Electricity Workshop (maximum of 20 participants)
- Sunday, October 15: Mad Scientist’s Chemistry Workshop (maximum of 20 participants)
- Saturday-Sunday, October 21 and 22: A daring Mad Scientist Laboratory Escape (ages 8+ and a maximum of 10 participants)
All ages are welcome, but these workshops are ideal for children in grades 3-5.
All Scientists (children) MUST be accompanied by a Lab Assistant (an adult 18 years+), who will remain with the child for the entire session, at no additional cost.
2 sessions will be held per day at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm and will run about one hour in length.
Cost is $12.00 for Members and $15.00 for Non-Members per session (this includes one child and one adult)
An All-Access Pass, which includes admission to the Museum and Planetarium, is available for $22.00 for the child only. Adults will have to purchase museum admission separately.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Museum on the day of the workshop, in the hour prior to the scheduled time. Tickets for the afternoon workshop may not be purchased in the morning, unless with an All-Access Pass. Workshops will be held in The Discovery Museum’s Wonder Workshop, which is adjacent to the main building.
